Plotly describes a chart as a data-and-layout object that plotly.js renders interactively: zoom, hover, selection and export with no event code to write. In Python, plotly.express builds a figure from a DataFrame in one call, across dozens of chart types including 3D, maps, statistical and financial charts, displayed in Jupyter or exported to HTML and PNG. Dash turns those figures into an analytical web app driven by Python callbacks. It's our choice when a data team has to ship an interactive tool without a dedicated front-end.
